Common Dental Emergencies We Treat

  • Severe toothache or tooth pain — often a sign of infection or decay that needs prompt attention.
  • Chipped, cracked, or broken tooth — from an accident, sports injury, or biting something hard.
  • Knocked-out tooth — time matters here; call us immediately for the best chance of saving the tooth.
  • Lost filling or crown — leaves the tooth exposed and vulnerable to further damage.
  • Dental abscess or swelling — a serious infection that shouldn’t wait.
  • Object caught between teeth causing persistent pain or discomfort.

What to Do Before You Reach Us

  • Toothache: Rinse with warm water and gently floss to remove any trapped debris. Avoid placing aspirin directly on the gum.
  • Knocked-out tooth: Handle it by the crown (not the root), rinse gently if dirty, and try to keep it moist — in milk or held in place in the socket — until you reach our office.
  • Chipped or broken tooth: Rinse your mouth with warm water and save any broken pieces if possible.
  • Swelling: Apply a cold compress to the outside of your cheek to help manage discomfort.
